Products you need to make this recipe

Do you have one or more of these ingredients already? No Problem! Choose only what you need and the total price will adjust accordingly.

This two-layered melt & pour soap recipe features coconut shell granules to naturally smoothe and exfoliate your skin while the textured top massages muscles and stimulates circulation.

Our exclusive Harmony Pure Essential Oil Blend will gently lift and caress the senses. The warmth and depth of Cedarwood and Cinnamon compliment the sweetness of Orange. Oils of Lime and Petitgrain give freshness to the blend whilst Neroli adds a beautiful top note making it a delicious scrub experience.

This is a two layered soap, so you’ll need the Isopropyl Alcohol to get the layers to stick together well.

Ingredients (2 batches of 4 x 125g soap bars):

Equipment:

Instructions:

Dice the entire block of soap into 1 – 2 cm cubes, and then set out mould and ingredients.

Weigh 300g diced soap base into the long pour jug and melt in the microwave in short bursts until nearly liquid.
Stir to melt any remaining small pieces.  Spritz with Isopropyl alcohol to remove surface bubbles.

Add ONE drop of our concentrated Yellow Liquid Pigment Dispersion Colourant, 1½ teaspoons of scrub granules and 4 – 8 g/ml Harmony Blend Essential Oils (depending on the strength you prefer).

Stir carefully, but thoroughly and spritz with Alcohol if there are any surface bubbles.

The best temperature to pour is around 55 – 60°C. The cooler you can manage the better, to ensure the granules are kept evenly suspended in the soap.

Keep the end of the jug spout well into the mould and pour the soap evenly between the four mould cavities.

Spritz with alcohol and leave to set up.

Clean your jug to remove scrub granules from the surface (alternatively, work with two jugs for a quicker process). Add 200g of diced soap cubes and melt in the same way as you melted the first pour.
Add 3 drops of colour to the melted soap – stir before deciding if you want any more as the colour is quite concentrated.
Add 4 – 8g/ml Harmony Essential Oil blend and stir well to combine.

Spritz the set soap in the moulds generously with Isopropyl Alcohol and then carefully pour the yellow soap over the top – you can fill right to the brim.
Allow to set up completely. This may take an hour or two and then you can unmould.

Batch Two!

Repeat this process for the second batch.
Store away from moisture – wrap or store soaps in air tight jar until use.
