There is nothing like sinking into a warm, scented bath at the end of a long day. A soak in a warm bath helps soothe away the day’s emotional stresses and eases tired and aching muscles. So many choices of goodies to use with Salts! Bubbles, Oils, Fizzies & Bombs, Herbal Tub Teas, and of course Fragrance and Essential Oils! Salts are a great choice for Baths because they are mineral rich, and help promote good health and beautiful skin. For Centuries, people have bathed in the Ocean, and of course warm, aromatic baths - think of Cleopatra, and the Romans! Bathing in Salt water can help to stimulate the circulation, hydrate the skin and increase its moisture retention, detox the skin and helps to soothe irritated or skin. With the addition of Essential Oils, you can add additional therapeutic benefits. Using herbs and flowers in salts look lovely in the package, but remember that you may end up with “bits” stuck on you or the bath after your have bathed. So include them by all means, they look gorgeous, but less is more! This page has several recipes, beginning with a basic recipe, and moves on to more luxurious and moisturising recipes. Unlike Cold Processed Soap and Moisturiser Recipes, these are in Volume Measurements for quick and easy manufacture, and you can simply multiply them to make bigger batches. If you don't have a bath, don't discount the ahhhhhhhhh factor of a warm foot bath at the end of the day. How to use: For all recipes, run the bath, and add 1/4 – 1/2 cup of Salts per Bath, swish water to dissolve, and step in! Suggestions for Packaging include:

The next recipe is easy to vary – it is, as usual, stored dry - try our Wide Neck Tubs and Jars or our Bail Jars, or package in our Stand Up Pouches. None of these ingredients will leave “bits” on your skin, or on the sides of the Bath Tub.
