Pure Essential Oils are used in Aromatherapy healing and in fine perfumery. They are the natural odourous, volatile oils derived from plant material. These may be herbs, shrubs or trees and all parts of the plant may be used. Most essential oils are obtained by a steam distillation process. Many citrus oils are obtained by cold pressing, and also contain the natural colour from the fruit. Essential Oils should be diluted in a carrier before use on the skin and should be researched for Essential Oil Safety. It is handy to use a solubiliser with essential oils, especially if using in the Bath. Try Solubiliser (Polysorbate 20), or CCG Solubiliser to help disperse oils in the water.
