Our Palm Free Melt & Pour Soap Base is probably the easiest MP Soap Base to swirl, so here is a beginner 'ITJ' (In The Jug) tutorial, featuring the lovely Fresh Linen Fragrance.  We actually made two colours, a swirled yellow and a swirled blue, so if using "Add to trolley button" and you only want to make one coloured soap, just remove the other colour from your trolley.

Our Palm Free soaps have a higher melt and set up temperature, so bear this in mind as you craft this base, it's best poured at 65 - 70°C.

The below recipe makes 6 swirled Melt & Pour soaps.

Ingredients:

Equipment:

 Method:

Dice and weigh 350g of each of the soap bases (Palm Free Goatsmilk and Crystal RC).
Place the diced Palm Free Goatsmilk soap into one of the jugs. If you are making two colours, divide the Crystal RC into two separate jugs, each with 175g of diced soap. If you are only making one colour, place the 350g of diced Crystal RC soap into a separate jug.
Heat the soap in short bursts in the microwave until melted.
Check the temperature - both should be around 65°C.

Shave pieces of the blue colour block and stir them into one of the jugs of Crystal RC (Clear) soap until you reach the desired colour depth; you'll probably only need about half of the colour block.
If making the two colours, drip the yellow pigment dispersion into the other jug of Crystal RC (Clear) soap, again stirring until you've reached the desired colour depth; you may only need a few drops, so start light and add as needed.

Add approximately 12.5ml of fragrance to the jug of Palm Free Goatsmilk (White) soap, and either 12.5ml to the Crystal RC if making one colour, or 6.25ml into each jug of Crystal RC (Clear) soap if making two colours (you can use less for a lighter scented soap).

Carefully add half of the white Goatsmilk soap base into the blue coloured soap jug. DO NOT STIR.

Now slowly pour soap into the first cavity, allowing the soap to swirl in the mould as you pour.

Spray the surface of soap with Isopropyl Alcohol to remove any surface bubbles.

Repeat for the other two cavitites.

Now repeat this process for the yellow soap and the remainder of the white soap.
If the soap has become too thick, 5 or 10 seconds in the microwave will re-melt.

Use the same process as previously.

Spritz with Isopropyl Alcohol again and allow to set up completely - usually for several hours.
Unmould and then wrap soap as usual.
