Happy Stripey Melt and Pour Soap Cubes

Sometimes it’s fun to have a play with colour and soap!  This project is just that, I wanted to make some geometric styled soap, but not with perfectly strange lines, a more relaxed geometry!  After unmoulding, I cut half the bars diagonally, which are a nice shape too!

Several microwave safe jugs
Spoons or stirring sticks
Low props for the mould - I used plastic rulers

The finer details:

  • To make a striking contrast, I’ve mixed bold, bright colours, with white Shea Butter Melt and Pour Soap Base
  • Crisp Apple Rose Fragrance is “water white” – this ensures there is no discolouration later on down the track.
  • I poured at 65 °C, and used 2 or 3 rulers for each shift in height and angle

I eyeballed all the soap pours – the coloured soap is around 2 – 3mm thick.  I used around 40ml of Fragrance, (splitting this eveny into the layers as I mixed in the colour), as per the Bramble Berry Fragrance Calculator:
