Buttermilk and Sea Clay Foot Soak

This recipe is unscented and can also be used as a bath soak if preferred.  If you prefer to add Essential Oils, 5 - 8 drops is sufficient for this amount.

Ingredients:

Simple Essential Oil Suggestions:

Cooling:  2 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
Deodorizing:  3 drops Lemongrass Essential Oil
Relaxing:  3 drops Lavender Essential Oil

Equipment:

  • A mixing bowl or jug
  • Sieve, helpful but optional
  • Scales, preferably digital
  • Spatulas, spoons etc

Method:

  • Prepare a clean work surface - wear a dust mask if preferred
  • Assemble the dry ingredients and equipment
  • Weigh or measure the clay and dry additives into the bowl
  • Use the spatula to combine all the dry ingredients evenly (this creates the least dust)
  • Drip in the Essential Oils and carefully combine
  • Spoon into storage container

To Hydrate when ready to use:

Hydrate the clay mixture with warm water until you have a smooth paste or slurry.  Add to the water and swish to allow it to disperse thoroughly.

To Use:

For a foot soak, use 2 tablespoons, for a bath soak, 4 tablespoons.

There are no Economy Tubs in the trolley items, so add your preferred tubs
