Description

Details

A lovely feminine peachy, pink coral tone mica. This is a multi-use colourant that you can use in lip balms, melt and pour or all types of cold process soap.

This colour is a little more difficult to mix into Melt and Pour Soap than most micas so we recommend mixing it with the fragrance oil  or Isopropyl Alcohol before attempting to stir in.

Start with about 0.25 teaspoon per pound of scrub, bath bombs, etc. For melt and pour soap, mix 1 teaspoon with 1 tablespoon of 99 percent isopropyl alcohol. Add 0.5 tsp. of dispersed mica at a time to the melted soap. For cold process, mix 1 teaspoon with 1 tablespoon of lightweight oil. Add 1 tsp. of dispersed mica at a time to the melted soap.

Product Suitability:

Melt & Pour Soap - Yes
Cold Processed Soap - Yes - but morphs slightly to a more orange tone, see graphics
Cosmetics including Eye area - Yes

This Colour is a: Bleeding Mica
Supplier:  Bramble Berry

Our Test Results:

Produces a peachy coral colour in clear MP Soap Base and a pastel with no shimmer in white MP Soap Base. In CP produces a slightly more orange toned matte colour.
pH sensitivity: Slightly unstable in high pH products such as CP Soap
Colour Fading: This colour is somewhat sensitive and may fade over time
Colour Bleeding (Migration): Bleeding, unsuitable for embedding, layering and swirling unless you wish to have that drift of colour effect

Note: Our Micas  are packed in resealable vials, tubs or jars unless purchasing 500g and above or surplus stock.
