Details

You can buy the kit to make this soap HERE
(Select your preferred soap moulds - this is the insects mould)

TIPS:

  • Read through the instructions supplied with the kit fully before you begin.
  • If you have a thermometer, though optional, I like to work around 60 - 65°C for this project

Method:

Dice the soap base with either a knife or cutter blade - best done by an adult depending on the age of the soaper!

If starting with clear base add a few drops of colour to the melted soap base.
Keep an eye on how many drops are being added because our colours are fairly thick and they are concentrated.
Mix through slowly and thoroughly.

If using white, remember all the soaps will be a pastel colour - again, the depth will depend on how much colour is added.
Mix through slowly and thoroughly.

Set aside and allow to set up completely.
This is the most difficult part for little ones, the waiting!
Once completely cold, carefully peel away the mould to release the soap.
