Baby Mushroom Jar for Aussie Lip Protector Balm 

Macadamia Wax is a very firm wax, so if you would like to make a softer buttery balm, drop the Macadamia Wax to 5g and add in 5g Cera Bellina.  This will have a gelling effect, and also help prevent graininess.   However, if you add the Cera Bellina this is no longer a vegan balm.

The organic Liquid Stevia is water based, therefore it will not dissolve properly in the balm.  However, it does infuse sweetness into the final product, but you'll need to pour carefully and leave the last little bit in the jug (you'll be able to see the little "globules" in the pyrex jug.  If you want an oil soluble flavour, Lip Smacking Sweetener is a great alternative.


Equipment you'll need:

1 Pyrex or microwave safe jug - 250 - 500ml size
Spoon to stir
Spatula etc


  1. Mix the colour (if using) into the Macadamia Oil and set aside. (The colour will look much darker at this point as it is so concentrated.  When the balm sets it will become a translucent/creamy shade of the colour)

  2. Melt the macadamia wax and the cocoa butter

  3. Stir in the mango mutter and then add the liquid oils and blend together well.

  4. Add the rosemary oleoresin extract, sweetener and then the lip flavouring.

  5. Place a few drops of hot balm onto a cold saucer and place into freezer for a couple of minutes to harden so you can test the flavour and consistency of the finished balm. If you would like it more liquid, add a little more liquid oil, or if too soft, melt a little more wax after reheating the liquid oils to a similar temperature.

  6. Pour carefully into pots as it begins to cool
