Apple & Chamomile Winter Warmer
1 cup dried chamomile flowers
This will provide a litre of tea so I like to prepare the dry ingredients in a pretty jar and have them ready to infuse and then I just add the fresh apple. Place all ingredients into glass plunger or pyrex jug. Pour boiling water over and allow to infuse for 5 minutes or so. This can be a little spicy if you leave it too long infusing. A little honey may be added to taste when serving.

If it had been, I probably wouldn't have been able to remember the recipe!!! I found this on a recent trip to Scotland, one of my favourite places on earth, and the ingredients are so fascinating I thought I would include it for you! Don't say you weren't warned! This is a warming Scottish drink for Adults! A Brose is a traditional Scottish dish made by pouring hot water over oatmeal.
1/2 cup medium Ground Oatmeal
Put all the dry ingredients into a large pyrex container or jug. Stainless steel can be used if preparing a large quantity. Pour over the boiling water and let it steep until it cools enough to drink. Strain through muslin or a fine strainer. Adjust the strength by adding more hot water and then add the scotch whiskey and sweeten with honey. It may also be served chilled. "Slainte" !!!
