Palm Free Warm Vanilla Sugar Butter Bars

Palm Oil Free Warm Vanilla Sugar Butter Bars

This yummy fragrance does discolour your soap, so we have done a "Blind Swirl" in white. This means you mix the fragrance into half the batch, and leave the rest uncoloured, or in fact in this case, with some Pearl White Mica added. Then wait for the discolouration to happen, and you'll end up with this lovely, natural, rustic coloured bar.

Warm Vanilla Sugar Palm Free Cold Processed Soap

Method:

For how to make soap from Scratch, please see our Cold Process Soapmaking Instructions Page

If you are a beginner, we recommend making this soap just one colour. If you are a little more experienced, you can follow the instructions link to "In the Pot Swirling" instructions. The Picture above is a classic blind swirl, but an In the Pot Swirl works well too.

  • Prepare all ingredients and line the mould as usual
  • Set aside a small container or icecream bucket for the white colour In this case, we used Pearl White Mica Powder to colour the swirl colour a slightly whiter "white"
  • Bring soap to thin trace, and then remove approximately 2 cups of soap (I use a 1000ml plastic ice cream container for this)
  • Colour the soap in the ice cream container with the Mica
  • Leave the main pot uncoloured
  • Mix the Fragrance quickly through the main soap pot portion - don't over trace
  • Now quickly pour the unscented, whitened swirl colour in one go straight into the main pot - NO MIXING - PUT AWAY THAT STICK BLENDER!!!!
  • Immediately Pour the whole contents of your soap pot into the mould

  • See full instructions for Classic Swirling and In the Pot Swirling Soap here
  • Cover and insulate
  • Unmould and slice as usual
  • The Soap will begin to discolour after gel - the time frame depends on which discolouring Fragrance you have chosen.
