Bicarbonate of Soda
If adding Essential Oils or Fragrance
½ Cup Natrasorb Bath
Up to 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Fragrance or Essential Oil Blend of Choice
Herbal Bath Milk
1 cup Buttermilk Powder
1 cup Goats Milk Powder
In the coffee Grinder – grind to a powder:
3 teaspoons of Herbs & Flowers of Choice
For those that don't want "bits" floating in the bath, you can either grind the flower petals finely in a coffee grinder and use Large Heat Sealable Tea Bags to store the mix in and then you simply throw the pouch of goodies into the filling bath and discard afterwards with no bits floating around.
Main thing is to keep the bath milks dry if you are storing them for any period of time as bathrooms can be quite moist, so use a sealed zip lock bag or some lovely glass jars or bottles for display and storage. Using Natrasorb if using Fragrance or Essential Oils really helps keep the mixture dry.
The method is the same for all - and it's easy!
Method when Using Bath Tea Bags:
- Place Natrasorb into a glass bowl
- Drip in the essential oil/s and stir through well to eliminate lumps - the mixture will resemble fine breadcrumbs
- Place the milk powder and herbs and/or oats into the mixing bowl and mix to combine
- Place one tablespoon into a large heat sealable teabag and carefully seal with the edge of the iron.
- Store in an airtight container or decorative jar
Note: If you overfill the bags when they get wet they will swell and this can split the seams apart.
Method when Bowl and/or Ziplock Bags:
- Place Natrasorb into a glass bowl
- Drip in the essential oil/s or Fragrance and stir through well to eliminate lumps - the mixture will resemble fine breadcrumbs
- Place the milk powder/s and herbs and/or oats into the mixing bowl or a large ziplock bag and mix to combine
- Store in an airtight container or decorative jar
To Use: Add one Tub Tea Bag under the running tap in the Bath or if stored in Bulk, add 1 to 2 tablespoons directly to the bath water.
