Purely Australian, our Virgin Macadamia Oil is wonderful for soapmaking, skincare and cooking. Superb in massage blends in place of Almond Oilor on its own, it is light and easily absorbed. Adds a silky texture to cold processed soap. We use Mac Oil in virtually all our skincare formulations.
The Australian Macadamia Society reports that "Macadamias are considered the world’s finest nut and are the only native Australian plant to become an international food. Macadamias contain no cholesterol as they are a natural plant food. Macadamias are not genetically modified and only contain natural genes, nor do they contain any trans fatty acids. They are chock full of minerals including Potassium, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Calcium with smaller amounts of sodium, selenium, iron, manganese, copper and zinc being present. Their Vitamin content includes Vitamin E, Vitamin B1 [thiamin], Vitamin B5 [pantothenic acid], Vitamin B6, Vitamin B2 [riboflavin], Niacin and Folate [folic acid]."
This Oil is also suitable for cooking and salads too, as this is a food grade oil.
