Our Extra Clear Natural Melt & Pour Soap Base has 25% added glycerine. Our Extra Clear base is also the only one of our Melt & Pour Soap Base that has some Coconut Oil derived surfactant in it (Coco Betaine – see full information on this coconut derived ingredient in our Recipe Formulary or on the Surfactant listing).
This base needs the surfactant included for the extra clarity, and this is the base to purchase if you are embedding fish, or other soap shapes and want an extra clear look.
This base is still very similar to our basic formula for our Melt & Pour Range and they are all 100% pure soap made with only the finest natural vegetable oils. No detergents, No sulfates, no alcohol!
Note: You might notice this base is slightly more prone to "sweating" (glycerine drawing the moisture from the air) with this higher glycerine content so do wrap your finished bars.
