Emulsifying Wax CA/C20 is vegetable based, self-Emulsifying Wax blend for professional quality Lotions and Creams (emulsions). It is a blend of Cetearyl Alcohol and Ceteareth 20. Like Emulsifying Wax NF, you can use this Emulsifier when you are making a recipe/formula which calls for “E Wax or Emulsifying Wax”.
CA/C20 creates an elegant product which exhibits excellent stability whilst remaining economical.
This Emulsifying Wax can be used in thick or thinner lotion type products by increasing or decreasing the percentage used. You can combine CA/C20 with other emulsifiers if you wish to add extra stability or increase the thickness. This Emulsifying Wax can also be included in Creams and Lotions, Lotion Bars, Body Polishes and Scrubs as well as Body Butters.
Usage Rates:
For Thin Lotions: 2 – 3%
For Regular Lotions, Light Creams: 4 – 5%
For Thicker Creams: 7 – 9%
