No calories, but a delicious treat for your skin. As you can see from the picture, I was in a bit of a hurry - that is why you can see the spa minerals on top, as well as through the bars! This will give a very mild exfoliating effect, but I should have waited a minute or two more when the soap had cooled a little more and then the minerals would be evenly distributed through the soaps! Milky Way Guest Butterfly Mould and Heavy Duty Dragonfly and Bullrushes Mould
I feel this is a warm, comforting soap, these are scented with Dark Rich Chocolate Fragrance, but love them with Spice Berry (formerly Holly Berry) or Country Kitchen Fragrance too – both of which have warm, spicy notes to complement the Spa Minerals. Feel free to use your own blend of Essential Oils or Fragrances, and of course you can substitute your favourite clay too. If you do choose the Spice Berry Fragrance, use a White Base to achieve a golden brown coloured bar as we have, or alternatively use some Vanilla Colour Stabiliser to keep the soap from browning
The only colour in the soap is from our Golden Spa Minerals which have given a gorgeous peach colour. Of course if you prefer pink or green, choose a clay to suit your theme.
Makes 2 - 4 bars (depending on the size of the mould).
What You’ll Need:
- 300g Goatsmilk or Opaque Melt & Pour Soap Base
- 1 Dessertspoon (about 10g) Golden Spa Minerals
- 3-5ml (70 - 100 drops) Spice berry (Hollyberry) or Chocolate Fragrant Oil or Essential Oils (3g) if you prefer
- 2 tsp Glycerine
Easy Instructions
1. Dice the soap base into a double boiler and melt gently (or use a microwave safe bowl in the Microwave on medium low
2. Whilst this is gently melting, take a small ceramic bowl, pyrex jug or glass beaker, combine the rest of the Ingredients
3. Stir these ingredients with a stainless steel spoon, and ensure there are no lumps (you can see I was in a bit of a hurry!).
3. Allow the soap to cool for a few minutes stirring occasionally
4. Now add Glycerine mixture which contains the Spa Minerals and Fragrance/Essential Oils and gently stir well
5. Pour into moulds and allow to cool
6. When completely cold remove from mould – wrap if desired to keep out moisture and prevent “sweating”
