Bentonite Beads are made from natural Bentonite Clay, which has been coloured with Cosmetic Pigments and processed to form granules. Bentonite Beads exfoliation action is due to the micronised particles which are suspended in your product, creating friction with your skin. Bentonite Beads can be used as an alternative to Sugar – this means you will have smooth exfoliation and removal of dead cells, better fragrance dispersion and an aid to carry other ingredients within your formula.
These small, free flowing bentonite granules are suitable for use in soaps or in other personal care anhydrous (no water) based products. They come in a three colours Mint Green, Warm Pink and Fresh Blue. The granules can also be used to deliver fragrance and/or active ingredients. (glycerine, vitamins, extracts etc). In bar soaps, the use of Bentonite Beads can enhance soap consistency by creating a harder and longer lasting bar.
