This soap contains finely ground Oatmeal, for exfoliation, and offers a great moisturising lather. This base is our custom White Base, and is chock full of Oatmeal. This base, as you can see from the picture, can be sliced as used just as it is (or sold on your craft stall), unmelted and unscented. If you slice the log into 10 x 100g slices, that's only $1.60 each bar!
However, if you wish to add some Essential Oil or Fragrance, our recommendation is to heat VERY SLOWLY over indirect heat, or in a crockpot until “nearly liquid” (with a couple of chunks not yet melted – if you overheat, you’ll risk burning the Oatmeal. Stir in the Fragrance and/or Essential Oils and pour into your moulds immediately.
Our Custom Oatmeal Soap Logs use a "natural" formula containing 20% added Glycerine, and mainly Coconut Oil. This soap is 100% pure soap made with only the finest natural vegetable oils. No detergents, no surfactants. No sulfates, no alcohol!
Some customers have requested this Soap in a Rectangle Shape to fit Wooden Soap Racks and dishes, so we are currently trialling two shapes of Oatmeal Soap. Drop down the arrow to choose the shape log you prefer.
